Drummers Camp Sardinia
The first Drummers Camp Sardinia took place from September 29 until October 6, 2012. We experienced an amazing week, including a broad range of interesting workshops, fantastic weather and a relaxing leisure programme. From a culinary aspect, we were spoiled by a variety of typical and traditional Sardinian dishes. The first Drummers Camp Sardinia was a huge success and arouses the desire for more!
Drummers Camp Sardinia 2013:
At present, we are planning the second Drummers Camp Sardinia, to be staged in 2013. Next year, we will use additional cameras and screens in order to display the instructors’ feet and hands in real time and in great detail.
In March 2013, we will launch the „Drummers Camp Sardinia E-Magazine" on iTunes which will include lead sheets, play-along tracks, videos and an abundance of bonus material. The second Drummers Camp Sardinia will take place from September 26 until October 3, 2013.

Flashback:
Before we started planning the Drummers Camp Sardinia about two years ago, we kept on asking ourselves the same and most important question: Why should a drummer feel the desire to participate in such a camp?
For one thing, the location had to be unique and exclusive in order for the participants to be overwhelmed immediately upon arrival. Furthermore, it had to be a place that would enable us to offer the participants a perfectly organised leisure programme in order for them to switch off after an intensive course packed with interesting and varied drum-related topics. We were thoroughly convinced that all the abovementioned factors would have a positive effect on both the mood and the performance of all participants and instructors.
The main objective of the Drummers Camp Sardinia was to create an exclusive event. Therefore, the number of participants was limited to a maximum of 25 students. This also ensured that each participant would be able to sit behind the drums and play during any given workshop.
Right from the beginning, we deliberately decided not to select instructors who are internationally renowned and who may have tried to take the opportunity to profit from this course in any manner whatsoever. The main objective was to choose musicians who are willing and able to present interesting and practically oriented topics, and who also show a strong interest in each and every participant and their needs. Furthermore, we didn’t want to stage any „typical“ drum clinics during which the instructors or artists tend to celebrate themselves. The aim of this camp was to put the participants in the spotlight.
It took us nearly two years to find a location that would meet the particularly high requirements of the Drummers Camp Sardinia. In the end, we succeeded in finding the ideal and exclusive location! This has indeed been acknowledged by the considerable amount of positive feedbacks we have received from the participants of the Drummers Camp Sardinia 2012.
